Recognition
The back is dark blue and the under parts are reddish-orange. Females are the same as males but a lot duller.

Where seen
Round Marker 34 and Franklin Locks from April onwards.

Jimmy’s notes
This is the only type of swallow found in Florida which has a deeply forked tail and is often seen skimming the water in order to drink.
