Recognition

A very small bluish bird with a long black tail. The underside and outer tail feathers are white. The back is bluish grey.

Where seen

These are winter visitors to Fort Myers, occasionally seen in the tree patch around the storage area in Dog Patch and off Concord. Also seen in the tree patches around Foxmoor.

Jimmy’s notes

Listen for its coughing call and then look for a bird perching.If you spot one calling it will be constantly moving its tail up and down and from side to side.
