Common Moorhen

Recognition
A dark-colored bird of 14-15” in height, with long yellow-green legs.  The bill is yellow with a red tip.

Where to see
In the fenced-in pond just before Walmart and the fenced-in pond along Bayshore Road after the turning for Slater.

When walking and feeding, it appears to flick its tail.
