Least Tern

Recognition
A slightly built bird with a delicate look to it. The bird appears white and grey .The bill is yellow in color.

Where seen
Often seen at the entrance to OBV marina sitting on the channel marker posts.

Jimmy’s notes
These little birds are only seen in the summer months here in Florida. When disturbed, they utter “little cries” and will hover over intruders. In flight the underside is white and the forked tail is a give-away sign. The birds seen here are on migration to South America.
