Little Blue Heron

Recognition
Adult birds are dark blue in color with a gray bill that is tipped black.  These birds are about two feet high.

Where Seen
On all the ponds at OBV.  Often seen feeding in the margins along the shores of the Caloosahatchee River.

Jimmy’s Notes
Juveniles are white with yellow legs and feet.  They can easily be confused with snowy egrets but the egret has black legs.
