Redheaded Woodpecker

Recognition
Red head, white belly and a black and white back. Juvenile birds are brown and white and do not have the red head.

Where seen
Near the storage area at Thomas Jefferson and perched on the top of trees near the club house dumpster.

Jimmy’s notes
Seen often down Alligator Alley perched on the top of dead trees. Look in the oak trees at the ranch down on Bayshore Road, particularly in the autumn.
