Wild Turkey

Recognition
The head is red and blue and it has quite a large fan tail. The body looks blue-black-brown which has a sheen to it. Adult males have a beard hanging down from the middle of the breast.

Where seen
Occasionally seen at the Babcock ranch and at the ranch along Bayshore Road.

Can be trained to come to seed feeders in farmers’ fields.
