Description

Yellow in color with a blunt head and a yellow spot at the rear of the gill covers. Often seen hunting in packs slamming mullet and minnows.

Size

Tend to run in packs of the same size; we have caught them up to 20lbs.

Food Value

Rather you than me, maybe keep them and grind them up for chum.

Game Qualities

Excellent fighters and one of the best sporting fish we have caught. Be prepared to chase them down.

Tackle and Baits

Heavier spinning rod with 30lb braid when chasing with lures

Recommended lures:  Surface lures such as the Megabait finger mullet.
